About Hale Studio

A Lifelong Maker

I’ve been making things for as long as I can remember.

That really started with my mom. She’s always been a maker, constantly sewing, crafting, and finding ways to create something out of everyday materials. Growing up, we were always working on projects together, and our home was filled with things she was making. She had a way of turning everyday life into something curious and fun, and that mindset shaped how I see the world.

As I got older, that turned into a love for building things myself. I was the person who volunteered to put furniture together, just for the fun of it.

Before I ever studied engineering, I spent years experimenting with crafts like crochet, paper art, and macramé, always looking for new things to learn and make.

Later, I rediscovered how much I loved math and problem solving and went back to school to study mechanical engineering. That’s where I discovered 3D design and fell in love with prototyping: the process of turning ideas into real objects as quickly as possible.

The Studio

Ideas often begin in a small 3D design workspace and move into an outdoor workshop for woodworking and fabrication. Projects evolve back and forth between these spaces as they turn from sketches into real objects.

What I Make

Most projects start with everyday problems: broken items, awkward spaces, or things that could work better.

I design and build functional objects, repair parts, lighting, and custom solutions using 3D printing and woodworking.
